Fill dirt is a dense, affordable soil (clay, sand, rocks) used for leveling, backfilling, and raising ground levels in construction or landscaping. Fill Dirt is not recommended for sod or grass seed- it is too dense and lacks nutrients for plants, unlike our famous fertile topsoil. Fill Dirt is ideal for creating stable bases for patios, foundations, or filling holes, but not ideal for planting gardens. Use our Grade A Premium (lightweight & fluffy) Topsoil or Nursery Blend for fruits, veggies and special planting.
We also have another option -NitroSoil- an in-house screened and nitrogen amended version of fill dirt.
NitroSoil has less clay clumps and rocks and twigs are mostly screened out.
